Welcome to SPELL – Supporting School Improvement

The Southern Partnership for Excellence in Leadership & Learning or SPELL specialises in school improvement, from Primary to Post-16, mainly within the Hampshire/Wiltshire/Dorset area.  The SPELL alliance is a collective of Good and Outstanding schools with experienced Headteachers/lead practitioners who have a diverse range of expertise. SPELL can offer a range of support services including the completion of audits, support for strategic leadership at middle/senior level, implementation of a quality performance management framework and support for effective classroom based practice to include the delivery of bespoke INSET training. Through an MA Hub and links with three HEI providers staff have access to Masters accredited programmes. SPELL has a track record of supporting school improvement across phase, working with schools in special measures/identified as ‘in need of improvement’. Teaching and Learning SPELL has 8 outstanding lead practitioners accredited as SLEs with a wide range of specialisms. This experience and expertise ensures an unrivaled understanding of what makes effective teaching and learning. We are able to offer support to other schools with a focus on Good to Outstanding T&L. SPELL can also support staff in their move from Satisfactory to Good. Leadership Development and Talent Management SPELL is a Strategic member of  QTL – Quality Through Leadership – a National College licensee  for the delivery of leadership programmes at level1 (NPQML), level 2 (NPQSL) and level 3 ( NPQH). Within the partnership we have a large number of NC trained facilitators and LLE and NLE accredited senior leaders. SPELL has experience in offering Middle Leader Development Programmes (MLDP) across the region, supporting the development of future leaders at both primary and secondary level. SCITT SPELL has secondary and primary SCITT provision in addition to offering School Direct, GTP and other ITT placements. google0db00d4ea3c43fba
